Dan Lavelle – 40 Years of Original Music Program Introduction From the jazz clubs of New York to stages in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and the Montreux Jazz Festival, Dan Lavelle has spent four decades building a remarkable career as a guitarist, singer-songwriter, and music producer. His journey began touring the United States with renowned groups including The Manhattan Transfer. After spending time in Japan, Dan settled in Hong Kong in 1987, becoming one of the early Western musicians to contribute to the city’s growing international music scene. Blending R&B grooves, Brazilian rhythms, and jazz improvisation, he has performed with artists including Grammy winner Eric Marienthal and written music for various Cantonese pop artists. For this special celebration, Dan is joined by an all-star ensemble: TALIE MONIN – Award-winning South African vocalist and Montreux Jazz Festival performer. JENNIFER PALOR – Acclaimed vocalist known for blending jazz with a contemporary urban edge. ELODIE LEE – Taiwanese vocalist with a warm, elegant style spanning jazz and Bossa Nova. JEROLD CHU – Producer and keyboardist behind artists including Moon Tang and Kiri T. JIMMY PITTMAN – Chicago-born bassist with a strong foundation in jazz, funk, and reggae. ANTHONY FERNANDES – Veteran Hong Kong drummer known for his precision and dynamic energy.
