The band's name, Omoinotake, comes from the Japanese phrase ""omoi no take,"" meaning ""to express one's heartfelt feelings to the fullest."" Formed in 2012 by Reo Fujii (Vo/Kb), Tomohiro Fukushima (Ba), and Hironoshin Tomita (Dr), the trio spent years busking on the sidewalks of Shibuya with their own gear. Facing the cold and being chased by police, they played on just so one more person might hear their music—honing the raw, infectious energy of their live performances. Their mega-hit ""Ikuokukounen,"" the theme song for the drama “Eye Love You”, has become a global sensation, surpassing 600 million cumulative streams. Their versatile sound also shines in ""Moratorium,"" which masterfully captures the melancholy and inner conflict of the animated feature “Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather”.
