Scott Murphy 是一位來自蘇格蘭、現居亞洲的薩克斯風手、作曲家及樂隊領隊。 自 2018 年移居香港後，他曾與多位國際知名音樂人合作，包括 Kendrick Scott、Eason Chan (陳奕迅)、Will Vinson、Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅)、Janek Gwizdala、Hins Cheung (張敬軒)、George Lam (林子祥)、Rubberband 及 Billy Ocean 等。 除了演奏以外，Scott 亦活躍於作曲及委約創作，合作單位包括 BBC、Hong Kong Freespace Jazz Festival，並獲選為 East Kowloon Cultural Centre 的重點作曲家之一。 他最新的計劃 “a dream of form” 集合 Janek Gwizdala、Daniel Chu 及 Padget “Fresh Kid” Nanton III 等音樂人，帶來一系列全新原創作品。 Scott Murphy is an award-winning saxophonist, composer, and bandleader from ScotlanJanek Gwizdala, Daniel Chu, and Padget “Fresh Kid” Nantonhe has collaborated with internationally renowned artists including Kendrick Scott, Eason Chan, Will Vinson, Miriam Yeung, Janek Gwizdala, Hins Cheung, George Lam, Rubberband, Billy Ocean, and many more. Alongside performing, Scott is also active as a composer, with commissions from organisations and festivals including the BBC and Hong Kong Freespace Jazz Festival. He has also been selected as one of the flagship composers for the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. His latest project, “a dream of form”, features all-new compositions performed with Janek Gwizdala, Daniel Chu, and Padget “Fresh Kid” Nanton III.
