VSLORIA。 yisekai is proud to present Drew McDowall, Hiro Kone and HK exclusive line-up al-uzza, three artists from NYC Emerging from Glasgow’s punk scene, composer and experimental sound artist Drew McDowall joined Psychic TV and contributed to Coil’s landmark albums in the late 80’s and 90’s. As a resident and active member of New York’s experimental music scene since the 2000s, McDowall bridges the industrial traditions of the past with the evolving possibilities of electronic composition today. Raised between San Francisco and Hong Kong, New York-based self-taught composer Hiro Kone (Nicky Mao) crafts genre-defying music shaped by the “in-between.” She has held residencies at Pioneer Works and EMS Stockholm, and performed at Berlin Atonal, Rewire, MoMA, ICA London. al-uzza a.k.a Roxy Farman is HK exclusive line-up of Dais Record’s Asia Tour. al-uzza is an artist, musician and writer from New York. Her music uses dense layers with rapid rhythmic structures, samples and video collages. The night will be supported by HK borned and bred experimental sound artists Nerve, underground electronic group PSDG, artist and yisekai founder Woon, young blood DANLEE, SKIN, DJ Marco Yu and VSLORIA.
